Terms of use

These terms are an agreement between you and Desert West Digital, LLC, which runs PinPost (“PinPost”, “we”). By using PinPost you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use it.

Who can use PinPost

You must be at least 18 and able to form a binding contract. You may use PinPost for yourself or for a business you are authorized to represent.

What PinPost is, and is not

PinPost is a board that connects neighbors and local businesses. We do not employ, screen, endorse or guarantee anyone who posts or replies, and we are not a party to any arrangement you make. The “Verified” badge means we checked a business's license number against the state's public record at one point in time. It is not a guarantee of quality, insurance or current standing. Prompts marked “Example” are suggestions written by us, not real requests.

Your content

You keep ownership of what you post. You give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to host, store, display and send it for the purpose of running PinPost. Pins and business pages are public; conversations are private between the people in them. You are responsible for what you post and confirm you have the right to post it, including photos.

Rules

• No illegal goods, services or activity, including weapons, drugs, stolen property, or the sale of animals where it is regulated.
• No harassment, threats, hate, or sexual content.
• No discrimination in housing, jobs or services based on a protected characteristic.
• No other people's personal information, and no phone numbers, emails or links in public pins. Share contact details inside a conversation.
• No spam, scams, fake pins, fake reviews, or impersonation.
• No scraping, automated posting, or getting around limits, blocks or security.
• Businesses reply only to pins they can actually take on, and describe themselves accurately.

Reports and moderation

Anyone can report a pin or a conversation. A pin reported by several people is hidden until we review it. We may remove content, limit features, or close accounts or devices that break these terms or put people at risk, with or without notice.

Businesses

You must hold any license, registration and insurance your work requires (for example, a contractor license from the Arizona Registrar of Contractors or the California Contractors State License Board), and keep your listing accurate. You are solely responsible for your quotes, work, warranties, taxes and dealings with customers.

The Business plan and billing

The free plan includes 5 business replies a month. The Business plan costs $100 a month, billed through Stripe in advance, and renews automatically each month until you cancel. To cancel, contact support before your renewal date; your plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for. Except where the law requires otherwise, payments are not refundable and partial months are not refunded. We may change the price with at least 30 days' notice; the new price applies from your next renewal after the notice period.

Staying safe

Use your judgment. Meet in public places when you can, do not pay large sums up front to someone you have not checked, verify licenses for skilled work, and call 911 in an emergency. PinPost is not an emergency service.

Disclaimers

PinPost is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not promise that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that anyone will reply to a pin.

Limits on liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, PinPost and its owners, staff and providers are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for anything arising from your dealings with other users. Our total liability for any claim relating to PinPost is limited to the greater of $100 or the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Your responsibility to us

You agree to indemnify and hold PinPost harmless from claims arising from your content, your use of PinPost, your dealings with other users, or your breach of these terms.

Ending

You can stop using PinPost at any time and delete your pins. We may suspend or end access for anyone who breaks these terms. Sections that by their nature should survive (such as ownership, disclaimers and limits on liability) continue after access ends.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Maricopa County, Arizona, and you and we consent to their jurisdiction, except where the law of your home state gives you a right to bring a claim locally.

Changes

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will update the date above and give notice on the board before it takes effect. Using PinPost after that means you accept the updated terms.
