About PinPost
PinPost is a neighborhood board built around one idea: ask around, once. You write one sentence about what you need, and the people near you who can actually help reply to you privately. No feed to scroll, no account, no real name, no address.
Four kinds of pin
- Need: someone to fix, move, clean, install or haul something.
- Question: a recommendation or local know-how.
- Offer: something free, for sale, or to lend, or help you can give.
- Heads-up: lost and found, safety, events.
How it works
- Pin it. Write one sentence about what you need, have, or want neighbors to know. No account, no real name, no phone number.
- Get private replies. Neighbors and local businesses who can help reply privately. Only you read them.
- Get in touch. Talk in a private conversation, and share your number only if you choose to.
- Mark it resolved. Say who helped with one tap. Businesses build a public record of the pins they actually solved.
Privacy by design
Neighbors never make an account. Pins show only a neighborhood and an approximate 5-mile area. Replies are private, phone numbers and links are kept out of public text, and your number is shared only if you choose to. Read the privacy policy.
For local businesses
A business sets the work it takes and how far it travels, gets notified when a matching need is pinned nearby, and replies under its business name. Each pin takes at most 8 conversations, so neighbors are not swamped. When a neighbor marks the job solved and names the business, that credit appears on the business's public page; it cannot be bought. The free plan includes 5 business replies a month; the Business plan is $100 a month for unlimited replies.
